Sunday Supplement on Sky Sports

A couple of my regular readers have told me that they feel I've got a bit of a 'downer' on Sky Sports. Not so, although I'd acknowledge that in the past I have been critical of their choice of live matches and of their Super Sunday host Richard Keys. I'll also acknowledge that, as in life in general, we are quick to complain and slow to praise.

Therefore, I wanted to highlight what is - if you love your football - a must watch programme.

The Sunday Supplement on Sky Sports is one of my favourite programmes. Broadcast every Sunday morning for 90 minutes the format of the show sees journalist Brian Woolnough joined around the breakfast table by three of his colleagues from 'Fleet Street' discussing the top football stories from the week gone and the week ahead.

The programme is one of the few opportunities on TV for issues to be discussed at length by intelligent, well informed and articulate people. No soundbites, no unchallenged bland statements from players or managers, no ridiculous predictions from over enthusiastic supporters.

The Sunday Supplement, every Sunday morning, 9.30 - if that's too early for you then record it but do watch it.
