Over the past few days Terry has come out with some rubbish, even by his own standards.
After their Champions League victory at Liverpool last week he used his time in the mixed zone to complain about Liverpool players putting the referee under pressure to book him following a challenge on Reina the Liverpool keeper. Aside from the hypocracy of these comments - no club puts pressure on the match officials as much as Chelsea - it was a bookable offence and it deserved a yellow card.
A couple of days later Terry is at it again - this time announcing that the Chelsea players want Guus Hiddink to remain as manager beyond the end of the season. These would presumably be the same players that said Jose Mourinho was the man for them, until he got the sack, then campaigned for Avram Grant to get the job permanently as he was apparently the best candidate and in turn announced their excitement about working with Luiz Felipe Scolari until they got bored of his ways and stopped performing.
Sadly, these irritating comments will continue so long as the media are prepared to offer Terry (and others) the platform that they crave.
