Simpler Times - The X-Files

I caught 20 minutes of the X-Files pilot episode on TV the other night - I'm not sure when this was first broadbast but looking at a young Mulder and Scully I was reminded how much I enjoyed the series first time out. Somehow it seemed a simpler time and we enjoyed the whole ''is there/isn't there a government conspiracy?'. Nowadays we all know that our governments are conspiring against us.

I watched the second X-Files film a couple of weeks ago on television - it was OK to be fair, not a bad storyline and of course it was good to see Mulder and Scully back although I have to say I was disappointed to see them portrayed as a 'couple': that I didn't want to believe.
